news

Ross & The Doormats is a Rome-based rock/pop band, playing live covers of the greatest songs from the 60's onwards.

The band was formed in late 2004 by music lovers working at international organisations in Rome and the current formation includes:

Alex Severi:     keyboards, vocals and percussion
Ross Maggi:     lead vocals and percussion
Marco Olivieri: guitar and vocals
Fabio Porziani:            electric bass
Vito Amato:     drums

The band's unique song list (almost 200 pieces) includes great cover tracks of major artists from the 60s on and always gets people out of their seats and onto the dance floor. Such wide repertoire, performed by highly trained instrumentalists and singers, allows the band to adjust to almost every type of gig, ranging from street rock concert, to formal receptions and balls.

Over the years Ross & The Doormats have performed with great success at many international events in Italy, also taking part in several private parties and outdoor concerts, not only in the Lazio region. Their numerous concerts consolidate their cohesion and stage harmony and contribute to delivering a top quality performance to the audience.

The band has been broadcasted live on local FM radios and also briefly appeared on Irish national television.

Ross & The Doormats will be performing throughout the 24th edition of the International Community Fair, providing the audience with a good taste of their great music and stage talent. The song list will include pieces that range from 50s Buddy Holly to contemporary Brooke Fraser and many other major rock and pop artists.

RICK BRECO HOSTS ICF 2011

Due to a sudden engagement, Tom Shaker will be substituted by Californian Rick Breco, who has kindly accepted to take on this task at the last minute.
Rick has already hosted the International Community Fair in the past as well as the AICR 4th of July parties, AWAR's Garden
Party raffle and spoke at a Mechant function at the U.S. Ambassador's residence when Spogli was in.
Rick is quite known and loved in the expat community not only for his acting ability and talent, but also for his famed NOI SALON, particularly the ladies who come out of there more beautiful than ever, thanks to Rick's passion for hair care and style.

Noi, located on Piazza del Popolo,  is Rome's #1 salon in the International Community. "We are all California transplants so communication in English or Italian is no problem"
